Penmaenmawr is very much a centre for outdoor activity, with a golf club, fishing, sailing club, mountain bike trails and, of course, four miles of sandy beach, considered one of the best in Wales and has a Seaside Award.
Penmaenmawr is a Victorian seaside town on the north coast of Wales, located between the towns of Llanfairfechan and Conwy, with the Snowdonia National Park to the south, and less than a mile from the town centre will find you within the Snowdonia National Park standing at the foothills of Snowdonia.
The Beach Café and beach chalets at Penmaenmawr offer visitors excellent facilities to enjoy a perfect day at the beach. The café offers a wide range of hot meals and light snacks and the chalets a daily hire for changing facilities after a swim, all set in beautiful surroundings. The Austrian Restaurant serves wholesome traditional food at reasonable prices in a relaxed atmosphere, though it should be noted that booking is advisable at this interesting restaurant at the bottom of the beautiful Sychnant Pass.
