Just four miles from the village of Betws y Coed, Penmachno is a village in the Machno valley offering the visitor a great variety of riverside walks, horse riding, mountain biking through the forest on the Penmachno Trail, and much more.
A traditional Welsh atmosphere can be found at pub in the village, where good honest bar food is served, and on brighter days you can enjoy real ale in the pretty beer garden. The Silver Fountain at the entrance to the Machno Valley also offers good pub grub including fish and chips and some more unusual dishes!
The Conwy Falls Café is a friendly contemporary bistro and the ideal place to stop for a really good coffee and piece of homemade cake, or treat yourself to a wonderful afternoon tea! You’ll find a menu of light meals and snacks produced from locally sourced ingredients where ever possible, and the food is mostly home made. There is some outside seating on a decked area with lovely views towards the mountains and of course the walk to the stunning Conwy Falls waterfall is not to be missed.
