Conwy Valley Villages
Surrounded by mountains and hills, the Conwy Valley is full of Welsh character, and offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in Britain. The River Conwy flows through the broad, sheltered valley and it is flanked to the east by the woodland and moorland of Hiraethog. The Conwy Valley is an area of great variety, with tumbling falls, wooded gorges, mountain lakes, high moorland and a charming stretch of the North Wales coast, and includes a number of market town and pretty villages including Rowen and Trefriw. This part of the world is packed with some excellent places to eat and drink offering great dishes, both innovative and the more traditional and often using fresh local produce. Great restaurants, brasseries and gastro pubs offer extensive menus with local ingredients, thoughtful wine lists and a warm Welsh welcome.
